The reason for being expands beyond the borders of France to NoLita. There steps a beautiful footprint on the soles of the city across the Eco-conscious globe .
Coclico has captured the timeless Art of three generations of shoe making in a magnificent display of responsible and stunning forms pour les pieds. Keeping it Eco by using vegetable dye based patina for the supple, nude hues of the leather.
Place your feet in soft cut outs of whimsical deliciousness without being overly aggressive.
Coclico combines a tremendous couture design principle with comfort. Owner Sandra Canselier personally stamps the shoe making process with her green thumb by creating these beauties in the most conscious, natural way. Combining French, Spanish and NYC hands, the concept and execution are pleasing to the eye and soft to the soul.

Like most start ups, we've found an interesting correlation between productivity and coffee beans. As a result, we've been gaining an appreciation for the quality transition of beans to beverage.
So we are thrilled to share our latest curated product, The Presso. Grind your beans, add hot water, press the levers and out comes an espresso that is guaranteed to hit the spot every time.
Simply put, it is a beautiful, ethically designed and manufactured product and sums up the reason why we started curating in the first place.
Click over to the product page to get it now. A heads up- the coupon code 'presso' expires within the next 24 hours ;-)
And of course, check out our amazing video review of the Presso featuring Brian Jones of Dear Coffee I Love You below-
Lead by courageously inspired visionista Elizabeth, olsen Haus is taking refuge in the refuse offering socially conscience brilliantly (un)executed valiantly vegan haute couture foot candy using old TV sets. The eco-friendly, animal-free, cruelty-free environmentally safe - 100% post-consumer waste micro-fibrous materials made from the old tubes are the new wave of vegan fashion ...stomping out the past petroleum based faux plastic trends of years past.
The line in the 2010 Fall/Winter Lookbook stands alone as art in motion. Functional and stunning, heels and flats, boots and booties..rainbows of textures, colors and fabulous architecture. More photos after the jump!
I am excited to introduced the latest addition to our blogging team, Michele Alexander. Her first words to us were something to the affect of 'I love to eat, breathe, live, write, dream about fashion as art, function and social responsibility...' need we say more?
She will be a contributing blogger focusing on beefing up our coverage of everything Eco fashionista. Maybe this way, we'll be able to balance our coverage of, ahem, lunch with equally relevant topics.
Michele lives in Florida via New Jersey and is captivated by the energy of big cities (NYC,MIA). When she is not blogging fashion or art (fashion as art), she is lucky enough to spend her days with her daughter and her dog!
We wanted a slim wallet designed with a smart, minimalist aesthetic, produced with respect for our planet. A product that improves the lives and communities of those making it... we couldn't find it anywhere, so we went out and made it for ourselves, and now we're sharing it with you.
Holstee's Recycled Wallet will be available July 2010.
We have collaborated with a non-profit based in Delhi to create this vegan wallet made from collected plastic bags and newspapers.
It stores the essentials- cash, credit cards and it, has a sliding window for your ID and Metro card and still so thin it will easily fit into your pocket. It is essentially a collection of the best parts of both Michael and David's favorite past wallets. Production of this wallet helps bring new opportunities, healthcare and education to impoverished underclass of Delhi, India.
To help fund our production, we are accepting pre-orders. During the pre-order period, the wallet will be available for $20 [$25 after].

Like any company, if we are making products that means we are using resources and in turn we will have a carbon footprint. But, there is tremendous opportunities to limit the impact we all have on the environment. It is up to us as a growing company to make the right decisions with every step. In working with Carbonfund.org, Holstee has resolved to purchase carbon offset credits for:
Any packages we ship
Any paper we use (anything printing we do is on recycled paper)
Any travel we do
occupying 700sq of Office space in downtown manhattan
Employee commutes (this one was easy- most of us get to Holstee HQ via bicycle, skateboard, walking or subway)
