For the last couple weeks, Holstee has had a new face around the office. He's a new set of creative eyes, a young environmental designer, trained as an architect, but more importantly, a problem solver. Born in New York, Chris has recently moved back to the city after spending the last four years studying architecture and the University of Colorado in Boulder. As a new graduate, Chris got in touch with us after a recommendation from our friends at Fresh Thrills and after passing a few in house design challenges it was clear that Chris not only shared our deisgn aesthetic but our values and work style as well.
Keep your eye out for product updates and design ideas from Chris in the upcoming weeks!

Today we would like to introduce the newest member of the Holstee team, Ryan Kaebisch! Ryan comes to us from Milwaukee, the land of beer and motorcycles. Similar to Mike and I, Ryan was on a career path that wasn’t inline with his dreams and he did what every person should do…make change!
Ryan hot-routed his plans by quitting his job and moving to New York City to pursue his passion for fashion. Ryan has a lust for life, and was living the
Holstee Manifesto well before it was written.
We are glad to have Ryan on board, as he helps us bring new Holstee concepts and styles to life! If you have any new style ideas or concepts, or just want to wish Ryan a warm welcome, get in touch with him at ryan[at]holstee.com !

ANDY RIOS
Fashion Consultant, HOLSTEE
So how did you find out about Holstee?
I found out about Holstee at the tents of Bryant Park during Spring Fashion Week 09. I was waiting online with the designer I intern for, when Dave stood behind me with a friend, Niamh and I said "Nice Shirt". Dave started telling me about the purpose of Holstee and the good cause it stood for. We exchanged e-mails and a couple of weeks later met up for coffee. After finding out more information about Holstee I knew that I wanted to contribute in any way I could.
What do you love about Holstee?
I love many things about Holstee, first I love that the 100% of the proceeds go to help entrepreneurs in developing countries. With this help many families will be able to accomplish their dreams. Secondly I love that Holstee is made of recycled materials that look great and are very comfortable. Last, I love that Holstee allows for contributors such as myself to be a part of this great company.
As part of the team at Holstee, how have you contributed?
I have contributed to Holstee with creative ideas in the fashion aspects such as the new colors, prints, and fabrics that will be popular. I also try to look at new products that Holstee can venture into in the future, along with Dave, I am working on an new product that will really shake things up, we call it 'The Fin'.
What is you favorite pocket style?
My favorite pocket style right now is the party pocket, however I am going to get the brunch pocket next!
